What to Expect as a New Patient
Clear, supportive care from your first appointment onward.
We understand that starting care with a new clinic can feel unfamiliar. At Bergamo Chiropractic and Nutrition Centre, our goal is to ensure you feel informed, comfortable, and supported from your very first visit.
Appointments are conducted in a calm, professional environment, with time allocated to listen carefully and understand your concerns before any care is provided. If you have any questions or concerns before you first arrive at the practice, please call our friendly staff on (03) 9887 4114.
Initial consultation
Depending on what health service you are attending BCNC for, your initial appointment typically involves a detailed discussion about your health history, current concerns, and goals. This allows your practitioner to gain a clear understanding of how your health and symptoms are affecting your daily life.
A relevant physical and functional assessment will be performed, tailored to your presentation and the service you are attending. Where appropriate, findings will be explained clearly so you understand what is contributing to your concerns and how care may support you.
Please download and fill out the corresponding form prior to your initial consultation.
Initial appointment times vary between health practitioners; however, generally range between 30 and 60 minutes. Your appointment time will be confirmed upon booking your consultation.

Personalised care planning
Following assessment, your practitioner will discuss appropriate care options with you. This may include hands-on treatment, recommendations for ongoing care, or guidance on lifestyle or movement strategies where relevant.
Care plans are individualised and developed collaboratively. You are encouraged to ask questions and take an active role in decisions about your care.
Follow up appointment times vary between health practitioners; however, generally range between 10 and 60 minutes.
Ongoing appointments
Ongoing appointments focus on supporting progress, monitoring response to care, and adapting approaches as needed. Appointments are structured, purposeful, and designed to support long-term function rather than short-term symptom management alone.
The frequency and duration of care vary depending on individual needs and goals and will be discussed openly with you.
If your care involves more than one service within the clinic, practitioners communicate regularly to ensure a coordinated approach. Where appropriate, we may also liaise with external healthcare providers to support continuity of care.
