Keep Calm Spring is Here!

YES! Spring has arrived, the birds are chirping the sun is out and the flowers are blooming!  This time of year the weather is predictably unpredictable, (especially in Melbourne), summer is mostly hot, winter is mostly cold, but spring can be either. At least half of all adults claim to experience changes in their health with the changing weather including more frequent headaches, joint pain, tightness and even catching more colds.

 

Time to Venture Outside
With the onset of warmer weather we tend to venture outside and exercise more which is great for our health and mental well-being. Make the most of these lovely days before the heat of summer arrives, soak in that vitamin D and rediscover walking or cycling, or if you prefer get out in the garden and start planting!

Of course as we start to use muscles that we may not have used some time muscles become fatigued and tired quickly as they have lost strength and tone. This is where remedial massage is a great option so you can keep on working out and exercising during this great weather with reduced pain and tension.

Few studies researching massage therapy and allergy relief exist, but a 2009 Ohio State University study show that even slight stress and anxiety can substantially worse and I’ll persons allergic reaction to some routine allergens.  If you suffer from away fever or some other spring allergy  try one or more treatments, as it may make all the difference.
